On Friday, August 18th, Michigan MABAS MITF1 held a Legislative Day at the MOB Center in Holly, Michigan.  Several Legislators, including Nate Shannon, Lana Theis, Lisa McLain (Eva Vrana represented), and Brian BeGole.  Also, in attendance was state of Michigan partners from LARA, MSP – SEOC, MSP-HazMat Training Center, Matt Sahr (MI Professional Fire Fighters Union), Chris Stocklien (MI Fire Chief’s), Lee Graham (Operating Engineers Local 324) Jim Stamas, Emergent Health Partners (Karl Rock/Brian Walls), Belfor, Wyandotte Fire Chief Moline, Oakland Twp. Fire Chief Strulchuk, Chesterfield Twp. Public Safety Director Bassett and Fire Chief Miller, Rochester Fire Chief Cieslik, Birmingham Fire Chief Wells, Warren Fire Chief Fergusen, Livonia Fire, Livingston Co. Emergency Management and many other public and private MABAS-TF1 partners.

There were presentations on MABAS and MITF1, demonstrations by several taskforce members, great conversations and networking throughout the morning.  Special thanks to everyone that participated.
