• Our annual Operational Readiness Exercise will be held May 14/15 and May 15/16. There will be limited spaces for each half of this event, so sign up soon for your preferred dates!
• Every position now has an updated electronic Task Book detailing skills that members must demonstrate every three years.  Go to mitf1.org and login to review any position Task Book that you may fill within the Task Force. You will be able to view your individual task completions under one of the chosen Task Books on the webpage. The D4H team will qualify tasks performed during both in-house and outside training and exercises each time the online Task Book Form has been submitted.  **Currently past training is being reviewed to qualify demonstrated skills at previous training events. Please be patient with this process.
• All the position specific training dates and logs days have been placed on the D4H calendar.
• The Task Force has increased the number of available trainings for some positions – the required attendance numbers have not changed but you will have more opportunities to meet the requirements.
• Due to a virus being uploaded to the D4H servers, members can no longer upload certificates.  For the time being, please send all certificates to [email protected]

A few photos from Admin Days

Everyone enjoyed going outside and running a short GPS/Compass course during the break-out sessions at Admin Days. The weather was a balmy 30 degrees or so with a lovely brisk wind.

Most of the two-person teams were able to get on track and get pretty close to the GPS coordinates or compass bearing – definitely within shouting distance. Pace counts were problematic especially when having to go through (around) the building.

If you remember what Course Number you were working, here are the answers to where you should have ended up:
Course #1 – Big white rock, green manhole cover, big dying tree in front of building, 100 meter mark on the driveway, the pump house and finally the main door of the building.
Course #2 – Task Force rock, 100 yard mark on the driveway, gravel sorter west of building, hydrant stems, the pump house and finally the classroom door.
Course #3 – Pump house, hydrant stems, 30 meter mark on the driveway, big white rock, gravel sorter west of the building and finally the main entrance
Course #4 – Big dying tree in front of building, 100 yard mark on the driveway, gravel sorter west of the building, power pole in southeast corner of parking area, 100 meter mark on the driveway and finally the main entrance of the building
Course #5 – 30 meter mark on the driveway, 100 meter mark on the driveway, big white rock, green manhole cover, 100 yard mark on driveway and finally the classroom door.
